Vigil Privacy Policy

Last updated August 23, 2026. Vigil is a personal credential tracker for licensed clinicians. It is not medical advice and it is not a hospital credentialing system.

Who this is for

This policy is for the Vigil mobile app published by James Lawrenzi. Contact: vigil@agewellgeriatrics.net.

What Vigil stores

Vigil stores what you type: license and DEA dates, numbers, CME hours, hospital packet details, and optional personal reminders. That information stays on your phone. Vigil does not create an account and does not copy your vault to our servers. We do not operate a cloud backup.

Lock and encryption

You can set a 6-digit PIN. After that, the vault is encrypted on the device. Fingerprint or face unlock, if you turn it on, is handled by your phone. We never see those biometrics. If you forget the PIN, the only reset is to wipe the vault on that phone. There is no recovery email.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device around 8:00 a.m. They are not sent through our servers. You can silence a card. The date stays visible.

Sharing

If you use Share packet, you choose where that file goes (email, Drive, a printer). Vigil does not upload the packet for you.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not look up your license or NPI on a board website. We do not provide medical advice. Vigil is not FDA-cleared and is not a covered entity’s electronic health record. License dates are yours to confirm with your board.

Children

Vigil is for licensed adults. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the copy in the app store listing.
